Hashiko – Atmospheric Survival Horror Game by Chaotic Krafterz
Hashiko is an atmospheric survival horror action-adventure game set in a haunting, post-apocalyptic vision of Japan — and it may be one of the most intriguing indie titles currently in development.
A Coast That No Longer Belongs to the Living
At the heart of Hashiko lies a phenomenon called psychoannexation: a slow, silent disaster that alters coastal zones in ways no one fully understands. The places remain standing, but they no longer quite coincide with themselves. Fragments of lives become accessible — some can be traversed, relived, even altered. The inhabitants leave everything behind, drawn away by an irresistible call. A rare few resist — and are hunted without mercy.
If you’ve ever felt the dread of Silent Hill’s fog, the open desolation of Days Gone, or the surreal unease of Slitterhead, Hashiko speaks your language.
Explore, Fight, Survive
You play primarily as Hino, navigating a world in constant transformation. Running, jumping, climbing, swimming — but also something stranger: Hino harbors a parasite that can be released to slip through narrow passages, cling to walls, and reach places no human could.
Combat is layered and evolving. Face multiple enemy types, collaborate with NPCs, capture spirits using a special lamp, and wield an eclectic arsenal — bat, knife, saber, naginata, pistol, submachine gun. Unlock powers tied to totem animals and adapt your approach to every encounter.
Beyond action, Hashiko weaves a melancholic, surreal narrative — an investigation into abandonment, solitude, and disappearance, told across multiple characters and eras.
